JUST IN: Buhari Endorse Kogi APC Gubernatorial Candidate

Nigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari has endorsed the candidature of Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the forth coming Kogi State Governorship election.  Ododo in company of the state governor Yahaya Bello Visited the Presidential Villa and held private meeting with the president.  This is in continuation of Ododo's consultations and interface with critical stakeholders of the party.  The Governorship Candidate had earlier visited the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Sen. Abdulahi Adamu as well as other top politicians including former governors of Kogi state. 

NIDO Commends Kogi APC Primaries, Declares Exercise, Free, Fair and Credible

BY AYOBAMI OMOLE-IYAGIN, Lokoja  A Non-governmental Organization, the National Independent Democratic Observers (NIDO) has commended the All Progressives Congress for holding a free, fair and credible gubernatorial pramaries in Kogi State. This was disclosed in a preliminary report released by its National Coordinator Comr. Habbey Oladejo and made available to Journalists in Lokoja the Kogi state capital.  NIDO affirmed that from the on the field reports of its observer team, Alh. Usman Ododo was clearly the most accepted by the majority of the party members. Expel Smart Adeyemi From Our Party Now – Party Chieftain Tells Kogi APC

    A political group, Ijumu All Progressive Congress (APC) Progressive Minds has called on the APC in Ijumu local government area to immediately commence expulsion proceedings against Senator Smart Adeyemi as he has become cancerous to the party. MUSA MUBARAK WINS NNPP GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION IN KOGI

  By Ayobami Omole-Iyagin, Lokoja. Alhaji Musa Mubarak has been announced as the winner of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) Kogi governorship primary election conducted in Lokoja on Sunday. Mubarak, who is popularly known as 'Emperor' scored a total of 607 votes to defeat his closet rival, Pastor Felix Oni, who scored 44 votes, while Hassan Bawa scored 3 votes. Three aspirants, Sen Abdulrahman Abubakar, Alh. Aliyu Ali and Mr Kamaldeen Yakubu, stepped down from the race to support Mubarak. The election which was free, fair and transparent was witnessed by official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from Abuja. The security agents were also on ground to maintain law and order at the venue of the primary election.
