Dangote Cement Provides Support for FRCN in Kogi

  By Ayobami Omole, Lokoja  The Federal Radio Corporation Of Nigeria, FRCN, has pledged continued partnership with Dangote Group and other Corporate Organizations in the Country towards achieving set goals. The Zonal Director, North Central Zone of FRCN, Alhaji Haruna Idris stated this at the presentation of cheque as part of Dangote Cement's contribution towards the relocation of the transmitter hall of Radio Nigeria Prime FM station in Lokoja to Mount Patti. Reject Old Notes and go to Jail- Kogi Govt.

    By Ayobami Omole, Lokoja Kogi state government has warned that persons and businesses that rejects old naira notes shall be arrested and prosecuted accordingly. The Government said this on Friday in a statement signed and made available to newsmen in Lokoja by the state commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo. Fanwo in the statement congratulate Nigerians on the historic ruling of the Supreme Court, the highest court in Nigeria, to the effect that both the old and new naira notes remain legal tenders until December 31, 2023 when the old notes will cease to be legal tender which means that both the old and new naira notes can be accepted for the purpose of transacting business till the end of this year. The statement reads “The reason the Kogi State Government joined other State Governments in the country to pursue the case was to ease the hardship occasioned by the unavailability of the new naira notes, which the court fully granted.   The Deputy Zonal Director,  Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Humanitarian-Social (North-Central), Hon (Prince) Abdulkareem Suleiman Onyekehi,  has congratulated the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his victory at the February 25 Presidential election. The Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmoud  Yakubu, on Wednesday declared Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as winner of February 25 presidential election.
