APC YAGBA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY CAMPAIGN COUNCIL ADVISES OUTGOING REPS MEMBER ON ACCOUNTABILITY

The Yagba Federal Constituency APC Campaign Council have berated the outgoing house of representatives member in Yagba Federal Constituency, Hon Elder Leke Abejide for what they termed as "Gross lack of accountability" in his era as the representative of the people of Yagba land. 

The campaign council described as worrisome as a situation whereby the house of representatives member have continually paraded democratic dividends of the APC led administration in the country as "personal gifts" to people. 

Amongst list of Federal initiatives to the people are items from the national productivity centre and the ongoing patching  of portholes on some sections of the Oke-Oyi road. 

Information at the disposal of the council suggests that the Ijowa-ejuku- ife Olukotun - Igbagun road in Yagba East LGA have been transfered to the federal government via a particular executive request by the Federal Ministry of Budget. The mentioned road was subsequently budgeted for and funds made available for same road and contract for the total reconstruction awarded to an SPV company owned by the reps member. It is therefore shocking that a road with budgetary allocations worth over a billion is being palliatively repaired in form of personal pocket spendings. Oke oyi people of Yagba East deserves a fully reconstructed road as reflected in the documents from the Federal Ministry of Budget. 

One of his perfected fraud against the good people of Yagba Federal Constituency is the Iluagba - Isanlu - Egbe road which the rep member collected budgeted resources for and promised a total reconstruction but went ahead to damage the roads beyong repairs. It is almost close to another election and the road remains  motorable despite huge funds allocated for it's reconstruction. 

Yagba land is bigger than dishing out personal gifts of cars to royal fathers and bikes to party touts and distribution of federal government productivity incentives to wives of party faithfuls. Yagba deserves human capital development, yagba deserves sustainable development and Yagba deserves Federal presence. 

Since the inauguration of Elder Leke Abejide as the representative of the good people of Yagba Federal Constituency, as the practice requires have never at a point organized a constituency briefing where his achievements so far and budgetary inputs can be explained to the people. This shows that he lacks accountability and wants to continue to perpetrate same acts. However, the people of Yagba Federal Constituency are wiser and will not take peanuts in place of development.
