Obajana: Truck Drivers Block Abuja-Lokoja Road over Factory Closure

 Trailer drivers have blocked the popular Abuja – Lokoja highway in protest against the closure of Obajana Cement Plant by the Kogi State Government.

Most of the Trailers are branded Dangote vehicles that transports cement to different parts of the country.Some motorists plying the roads have now appealed to the Obajana Cement Company to urgently resolve its problem with the Kogi State government to ameliorate their suffering. popular Abuja – Lokoja highway in protest against the closure of Obajana Cement Plant by the Kogi State Government.

The blockage at Koton-Karfe has brought about long queues of vehicles that paralyzed social and economic activities in the area. This is adding to the delay caused by flooding on the Koton-Karfe road.

The protesters insisted that they were not going to suspend their protest until the Kogi State government reopens the cement plant that has been closed down for about three days.

It has also obstructed vehicular movement on the busy Federal highway.

Recall that a few days ago, Delegation of the Kogi State Government went to seal the Dangote Cement Factory in Obajana leaving about seven of their staff with gun wounds while others scampered for safety.
