2023; NSCDC Promises To Work Towards Peaceful Elections in Kogi State
-- as RECEF calls for more women participation in 2023 elections By Ayobami Omole, Lokoja The Kogi state commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, Oyinoye John, has assured that the command will work with all stakeholders to guarantee peaceful conduct of the 2023 general elections. The Commandant gave the assurance at the Kogi State Command Headquarters of (NSCDC), when he received the team from Renaissance Care and Empowerment Foundation (RECEF), who were on an Advocacy visit on how to enhance Women Participation in Election as Voice for Development Campaign. Earlier, the Executive Director of RECEF, Ambassador Idris Ozovehe Muraina, said the visit was aimed at advocating for peaceful elections come 2023 in Kogi State. The Executive Director presented a copy of the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Law, 2022 to the commandant to guide the activities of the command towards 2023 elections in the state.
