His death came to us as a rude shock but the testimony of his impactful lifestyle gave us a sense of relief.  Over the years, Oba Julius Joledo has been a bridge builder, a peacemaker and a traditional ruler who derives joy in community development. His reign brought  transformation to Mopaland and it is evident by the order of peace the community enjoys under his rulership.  Our heart goes with his immediate family, Mopa traditional council and Mopamuro Traditional Council which He chaired until his demise.   Kogi state chapter of the People's Democratic Party has said that the party and their Candidate for the November 11 election, Sen. Dino Melaye is not fooled into the third term agenda of Governor Yahaya Bello.  While interacting with newsmen on Tuesday in Lokoja, the Publicity Secretary of the Caretaker Committee, Chief Dayo Akande declared that they have seen through the plot by Governor Bello to run a third term by proxy but the party will not fold their hands to let that happen.  "It is apparent that the Yahaya Bello want to continue in government for another tenure and we shall work against their evil agenda. Aloko Dangote …Moves to track, and prosecute peddlers of falsehood   Management of Dangote Cement Plc has denied reports, in some online platforms that it has embarked on sales promotion and has further adjusted its prices. In response to the misleading report, the Chief Branding and Communications Officer of the Dangote Group, Anthony Chiejina described the reports as mischievous, malicious, and false. He added that the Management has formally notified the law enforcement agents to track down, name, and shame the perpetrators of this devious and deceptive information. He urged Dangote’s Cement customers and other stakeholders to continue patronizing the high-quality cement brand and be careful of scammers, who are bent on defrauding them of their funds.

Lawmakers in the Kogi State State House of Assembly has appealed to the State Government to urgently complete the delayed construction and rehabilitation of Ankpa-Abejukolo road in Ankpa and Omala Local Government respectively. The lawmaker representing Ankpa I State Constituency Hon. Lawal Akus represented a motion before the hallow chamber on Wednesday. Hon. Akus recalled that, the Kogi State Government in October, 2016 awarded the rehabilitation and construction of Ankpa Abejukolo to Messers Mo-Tex Engineering covering a total of 75.9Km.  Unfortunately, the first time lawmaker expressed dismay that,   only 3.3KM has been done so far by the contractor with 72.6KM yet to be constructed/rehabilitated. Explaining further on the present State of the bad road, Hon. Akus said " the  road is a strategic infrastructure linking Ankpa Local Government (various communities in Ankpa from Ejegbo, Emere, Odagba, Enabo, Ofugo, Inye, Ikka etc) to numerous communities in Omala Local Government.
