Kogi West Initiative Condolences Yomi Awoniyi Over Mother's Death

  The Leadership of Kogi West Initiative have commiserate with the former deputy Governor of Kogi state H.E Arch. Abayomi Awoniyi over the death of his mother, Madam Florence Awoniyi who died at the age of 82. The group in a statement jointly signed by Hon. Soji Olumonrin, Alh. Ganiyu Salaudeen (Erukutu) and Alh. M.O Sule sent words of comfort and encouragement to the former Deputy Governor and the Entire Awoniyi Family.  The statement reads "We received the news of the transition of your lovely mother with a very heavy heart. The death of a loved one especially a mother is one unfortunate thing that happens to people but we can not avoid it because death is inevitable.  "We are aware of the bond that exists between you and your mother but the testimony of her good deeds is enough to encourage you at this trying moment of yours".  "We sincerely pray that God Almighty Comfort and console the entire family and give you the fortitude to bear the loss".  The group

Court Adjourns Suit Involving Atta Family, Mining Companies, Others

  BY AYOBAMI OMOLE-IYAGIN, Lokoja A Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja has adjourned the case with Suit No FHC /LKJ/C5/25/17 involving the Atta family as plaintiffs and two mining Companies Dangote Industries Limited , Dangote Cement Plc and  Federal Ministry of mine and Steel Development as defendants till 27th June 2023. The Plaintiffs, Prince Mahmud Sani Atta, Abdulmaliki Atta , Mohammed Sadiq Atta and Mohammed Shaibu Onochu Atta have dragged the defendants to Federal High Court in 2017 over alleged  granting of mining lease 2541 ML with No 00001103 dated 1st February , 2008 to the 1st  defendant by the second defendant and 3rd defendant without compliance with provision of Nigeria Mineral and mining Act 2007. The defendants are AICO, Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development ,the Mining Cadastre office , Dangote Industries Limited and Dangote Cement Plc.
